What Could Be The Reason For Experiencing Heart Palpitations?
I have experienced heart palpitations in the past few years and I have been admittedly stressed and anxious. However, the palpitations have changed in the last week or so. Now they are 3 or 4 very strong beats that I can feel and that take my breath away and then it's back to normal. It is very disconcerting. I almost feel as if my heart is beating an extra time or two and that it takes a second to go back to normal. Should I be really concerned. BTW, I am overweight but my recent blood levels showed an enviable cholesterol level and all my other levels were normal. I don't think I have ever had a thyroid test though.
It is better to see an Internist / get yourself examined ... Appropriate treatment demands proper diagnosis – which often demands investigations EKG / HOLTER (24 to 48 hour ambulatory monitoring) / ECHOcardiogram / TMT (Treadmill exercise ECG) / LABORATORY work-up – may all be necessary for further assessment and assistance.
Good luck Take care Wishing all well God bless
