What Could Be The Lump On The Side Of Tongue?

Beginning of May I noticed a lump on the side of my tongue....no pain never noticed it before...the size it is now is the same size the first time I saw it. I wear dentures and sometimes I forget to remove the bottom plate so I just assumed I bit the side of my tongue in my sleep. I have just come home from an ENT doctor and he says it a varicose vein and benign.......is that possible?

helloo...read through ur query...and i must say that it can beconstant irritation of touching of denture to the tongue causing a lump(irritationhyperplasia)..but nothing to worry...it can be removed by a minor surgical correction or now new techniques like electrocautery etc are done..u can meet an oral surgeon and get it treated based on the clinical presentation(treatment said by me are not based on clinical presentation so it can vary).be cool...and smile...hope ur benefitted something from this reply..have a healthy day!!!
