What Could Be The Differences Between Oxycodone HCl And Oxaydo?

What is the difference between oxycodone hcl and oxyado? My dr talked to me about switching it after my next visit, but I m worried about taking a new drug. I did some research and found out that i shouldn t take it if I m on certain other medicines. For instance I take cyclobennzaprine, and I m on several different mental health drugs. Can I get your opinion please?

Read your concern.
Both the drug that you have mentioned are of the same composition. Both are opiods and are indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic moderate to severe pain where the use of an opiod analgesic is appropriate.

Oxaydo, however contests to be the First and only immediate-release oxycodone that discourages intranasal abuse.
There is no evidence that immediate-release Oxaydo has reduced abuse liability compared to controlled- release oxycodone.

However, about your conern regarding concommitant use of Oxaydo with other drugs used in mental diseases and with cyclobenzaprine.It is seen that there is moderate interaction between cyclobenzaprine and oxaydo.
Oxaydo should be taken with caution as with other CNS depressants as well.

So, it will be best for you to discuss the case at length with your psychiatrist and use the drug in a dose which is best required.
