What Could Be The Diagnosis For Extra Bone Growth In Wrist Causing Dull Ache?
Hello. I saw a Dr. Who took xrays of my left wrist and confirmed I have Heterotopic ossification. I have an extra bone growing in my wrist right above my ulna bone. This was misdiagnosed as ganglion. At first he wanted to remove it surgically but ordered a CT scan first. I had the CT done and never heard back from him and he will not return my calls? Do you know why this may be? Can it be removed? This thing is very painful and really affects the ROM in my wrist. Some days i feel i want to cut my hand off just to get rid of the constant dull ache it gives me. Please advise?
If you have access to your CT scan result or you can obtain a copy of the results from the imaging center, then you should consider consulting another orthopedic surgeon, if you are unable to contact your previous doctor.
If you are not able to obtain your CT or do not have then at the moment then you would need to continue trying to reach him to see if you can get your images.
If there are problems, may have to get the assistance from someone in medical administration.
I hope this helps
