What Could Be The Cause Of Severe Pain In Vagina And The Surrounding Area?
I am having severe pain in my vaginal area and frontward - all around that area. It does not seem to bother me in my bottom area. Sometimes after I get up from sitting, the pain is so severe i can barely walk and sometimes cannot even turn over in bed without pain. sometimes i feel like a sharp stinging pain as well. it seems to start inside my vagina and all around the area. it seems to be worse after i have sat a little while on a hard chair, so i started putting pillows or fabric over the chairs but that does not always help. the pain can be so bad it just about makes me want to throw up. after a little while it goes away but hardly ever completely. i had a bladder and vaginal surgery about 5 years ago.
Hi. The reason for pain can be 1.Spasm of muscles in and around the vagina, may be fibrosis due to previous surgery or some adhesions. 2. It can be some ortho problem and pain is due to some pathology in pelvic muscles or pelvic bone. 3. It may be severe cystitis or urethritis,You need to get routine investigations along with ultrasound pelvis or MRI pelvis, after consultation with your gynecologist. Thanks.
