Dentist, Endodontics Dr. Manisha Rao's  Response
Hi, the black colour that you are referring to between gums and teeth is most probably calculus or deposit that becomes black if it stays unremoved for a long time. This calculus causes infection in the gums and bone that leads to weakening of the jaw bone which in turn causes the loosening of the teeth. The bone infection leads to pain and swelling and thus your tooth is paining. Please consult a dentist as soon as possible. Thorough prophylaxis, use of antibiotics and periodontal flap surgery may save the tooth. Delay may lead to the tooth falling off. Take care!

Hi,the pain and black colour between tooth and gum may be due to development of proximal caries in relation to that tooth due to carious infection gums becomes inflamed and leaves that tooth or there may be calculus deposit for long time which leads to inflammation of gums and pain.please consult your dentist as soon as poosible to save your tooth, there seems to be no direct relation between this dental poroblem and salvation, more acidic feel .take care
