What Could Be The Cause Of Bad Cough At Night Followed By Crusty Eyes In The Morning ?

My son has crusty eyes in the morning and a bad cough for a few weeks. He is fine during the day but is coughing at night and wakes up with crusty eyes. Is this just a virus or could it be something else?

Dear,

Thank you for posting the query.

Crusty eyes is the morning indicate a bacterial infection. To take care of that use antibiotic eye drops 3-4 times a day and apply antibiotic eye drop before sleeping.

The cough could be a bacterial infection or a viral infection. Further investigations are required in that reagrd.

Do get back to me if you have further queries.
