Hi, for the past few months, my heart has been beating faster and harder than it should be, it gets worse when I lie down or try to sleep, it feels like I m going to have a heart attack, I also feel sometimes like I can t breathe, I have also been getting head aches, chest pains, dizziness and feeling irritable.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, thanks for the query.
Its more likely you have an arrhythmia which is a change in the beating pattern of the heart. The causes are varied but the association of dizziness in your case warrants a consultation with a doctor who will examine you and proceed to do some few works depending on his findings. Workups such as ECG, serum electrolytes etc are possible workups.

Hope this helps.
