What Could Be Symptoms Of Hernia Or Muscle Strain?

My son of ten says that when he sits so that he is crouched over his ribcege hurts when he changes posture. He says it feels like he has marbles under his bottom right rib and that it only hurts when he hunches over. Could this be a hernia or muscle strain or something i should worry about?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain that your son is complaining of is likely to be due to a muscle strain. This is not related to a hernia. Doing a hot fomentation will help in bringing relief.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
