What Could Be Little Bumps On Inner Thighs And Outside Vagina?

I have had these little bumps on my inner thighs and on the outside of my vagina. They are itchy and at first I thought it was razor burn or a reaction to laundry detergent but now I m scared it s herpes. They aren t going away. I don t have any other symptoms though. It s not painful, I m not tired, I m not experiencing flu symptoms, and I don t have a yeast infection... Is it possible it is something else??

Hi,

I can understand your concern for little bumps on inner thighs and outside vagina.

These can be boils or ingrown hair. Both are basically infection and inflammation of hair roots and the attached oil glands. It can get infected due to heat humidity and poor hygiene.

The most important precaution to follow is to not to try to even touch or pinch the area as can cause more aggravation of the problem and spread of the infection.

For time being period you can apply antibiotic cream such as fucidin or mupirocin and take pain killer tablets such diclofenac or paracetamol.

If it is increasing despite the treatment then meet a dermatologist or any family physician and get a proper treatment without delay for the oral antibiotic such as ciprofloxacin or cefadroxyl 500 mg two times a day for 5 days to prevent secondary infection.

Take care.
