What Could Be Chest Pain Right In The Center Between Chest Plates?

Hi, I have recently started getting chest pains right in the centre between my chest plates. I workout at the gym and have done so for years and i've started drinking green tea last week (not sure if this is the cause). It doesn't hurt when i breath normally or carry out any tasks, however it's sore when i take a deep breath or move my arms at times. It dosen't cause me any major discomfort but i am concerned. Could you please try and help me? Thank you. Jamie

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi Jamie,

I'd suggest to stop taking green tea for a week and watch if the chest pain will be still present.

If yes, then, I suggest to get checked by a cardiologist and to do some more tests:

- EKG
- cardiac echo
- stress test
- chest X-ray

If everything will result normal, I'd advise to get further evaluated by a neurologist.

All the best!
