What Could Be A Small Red Lump On Breast?

Hi, I seem to have a small red lump on my right breast near my nipple and I'm not quite sure of what it is. I haven't noticed it until today when I got into the shower because I have been on camp with no showers or anything so I haven't looked in about 2-3 days. It's only small and it's a raised red circular spot and when I poke it it feels like there is something inside of it. It stings a tiny weeny bit when I do this. What is it. It kind of looks like a pimple with no head, just a flat surface. What do I do? What can it be?

Hi,

I can understand your concern for small red lump on breast.

After reading your query it appears to be simple "ecchymosis" or spot due to purpura or insect bite hypersensitivity.

In most of the circumstances these bruises fades by itself and are normal in its appearance after few days of time.

You can take a pain killer like paracetamol for 2 times day. Apply a cream containing Fluticasone or mometasone very lightly on the affected area. Additionally take antihistamine such as loratadine if there is any itching.

The marks will fade by itself in next 14 days, so do not worry.

Hope these information will relax you.

Take care.
