What Could A Bleeding Blood Vessel In Tongue And A Finger Indicate?

Hello, I am a male, 43 years old and I have a bursted blood vessel on the top and middle of my tongue and it bleeds 2-3 times a day, 10min each time. What can be the cause or what should I do? I have one also on my left finger tip, but it doesn't bleed as often or as long.

Hello,

I can understand your concern. As you have tongue and finger both involved in the same way to the disorder, it seems that you are suffering from psoriasis.

In this disorder, the skin becomes dry and it scales causing bleeding. The episodes of bleeding can be related to the weather, stress, hormonal changes etc.

I would advise you to visit a dermatologist and a dentist for the confirmation of the disorder. If clinical examination confirms the diagnosis, you may need to start treatment with steroids.

I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
