What Causes Yellowish Discharge From Nose After Having Polyp Surgery?

I had polyp surgery dec. 19th. I am still having problem with yellowish discharge in mornings. I have had 2 regimines of different antibiotics, 2 regimines of prednisone, used Flonase and am now rinsing with prednisone solution every day. I have flushed over 45 gallons of saline rinse since operation and still having mucus in nose. My ENT says left side is showing sign of irritation / swelling. Any ideas?

Hi i did review your concern.

Yellowish discharge can be due to bacterial infection. A culture and gram stain of the discharge can help us in knowing the bacteria.

After this antibiotic therapy and probable drainage of the fluid you will be cured of infection.
I hope this helps.
