What Causes Yellowish Discharge During The 35th Week Of Pregnancy?

Hi, I'm 25 years old. 35 weeks 2 days pregnant and have been experiencing a thickish pale yellow discharge for about a month with some milky white liquid, just in the last couple of days I have started to notice small white lumps being discharged too and the liquid discharge has increased. I have had on and off intense itching around the top of the outside vulva for about six weeks, too, and the skin has gone all hard and white just where it itches (I do shave, but even if I stop for a week it continues to itch). What could this be?

Hu, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Thick whitish yellow discharge, along with itching in vagina in pregnancy is suggestive of vaginal infection, with vaginal candidiasis being likely possible.
You should get a vaginal swab examination done to confirm the diagnosis and get further management accordingly. Vaginal infection can lead to preterm labour and delivery, and hence it has to be treated effectively to avoid maternal and fetal complications.
I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated and treated accordingly.
