What Causes Yellow Discharge From Anus After Surgery For Anal Fistula?
I had been operated for anal fistula 8 months ago, but it has not healed completely. There is small opening near anus from which yellow liquid is coming out. It happens twice that blood comes out of my anus(around 2-3 spoons).there is also faint vibration in the buttocks
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history fistulectomy 8 months ago, not yet healed, has a small whole out of which yellow liquid comes out, also the blood comes out of anus. Your short history is indicative of non-healing of the fistula. I would advise you the following: First of all consult a General Surgeon, get examination and fistulography done to know whether this is a low anal fistula or high anal. If this is a low anal fistula your Surgeon would go for fistulectomy and insist on sending the sample of the tract for histopathology to see whether there is a specific infection like tuberculosis or Crohn's. Once you get the diagnosis further treatment can help you to get a cure. If the fistula is of high variety, there need to be staged or other forms of treatment, yet get a sample for histopathology to know the specific cause if any.
