What Causes White Spots In Throat After A Sore Throat?
I started with a sore throat last wed/thurs & its been slowly getting worse. I am off work today struggling to swallow & have noticed white spots in my thoat with some on the roof of my mouth. Feeling sore all over with serious heartburn. Should I get a doctors app before Christmas or wait it out & hope it gets better by itself?
Understanding your concern. As per you query you have white spots in throat after a sore throat which could be due to formation of pus pockets, , strep infection, acid reflux and tonsil stones . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and rule out causes mention above . Usually treatment is not necessary, as the tonsils will clean themselves just do warm saline gargles and suck on lemon candy . If they are causing any discomfort then doctor may remove them with instrument . If condition doesn't get better then consult oral pathologist .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
