What Causes White Spots In Stool With Mucus?

I have been having white spots in my stool, my doctor thought it might have been undigested medicine due to having a low thyroid. I have been on new increased medication for my thyroid for about four weeks. The white spots are increasing and I am now having runny stool and mucous in my stool. When I called my doctor for an appointment I four d that the office is no longer open. What should I do?

Hi thanks for asking question.

First get your stool examined. If shows eggs of ameba then amebiasis might be cause.Metronidazole need for it.

Let me know you excess mucus might be because of excess fat intake also.So take fat less in diet.with avoidence of junk food for few days.

You can have malabsorption syndrome like that of celiac sprue ..It is hypersensitivity to gluten containing diet.So avoid gluten in diet like wheat, rye etc...

If still cause not clear then colonoscopy needs and biopsy taken.

Wish you good health.

Take care..
