hi my son has had white stools for awhile now, it comes and goes quiet alot, he has also had blood in his stools, two days ago he had a mix of both white to grey looking stool with blood, when he wiped himself their was quiet a lot more blood and muscus on the tissue, he's nine and he got a fright himself. he was taken into hospital about 3 weeks ago with stomach pain which he still gets, didn't find anything, but they taught it might have been his appendix but were not taken out. their was no tests done while he was in hospital for 5 days, only bloods and urine, they did say their was an infection somewhere but my son was not giving anything for it. do you think i should go back to my g. p about the blood, as the doctors told me unless he has a temperture theirs no need to come back to the hospital.
