Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain a bump close to the lip that on popping released a waxy white pus does not seems to be due to Herpes virus infection, rather it seems to be due to causes like hair
follicle infection or folliculitis, ingrown hair, infected gland in the area, bacterial infection of the skin etc..
As far as Herpes is concerned it is commonly in the form of clusters of
fluid filled blisters and the presentation of your symptoms are not indicating herpes..
I would suggest you to take a sterile gauze piece and put gentle pressure over the lump and drain of pus as much as possible..
Clean the area with antiseptic solution and apply a
triple antibiotic ointment over it..
If there is pain anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen can be taken..
In case if it still does not resolve or worsen consult a General Physician and get evaluated and he can do an
Incision and Drainage and also give you a course of
oral antibiotics and painkillers for relief..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
