What Causes Weight Loss With Recurrent Viral Infections?

My 21 month old daughter had an abdominal ultrasound yesterday and the technician said she had an excessive number of lymph nodes present. She has recently lost a lot of weight and has recurrent viral infections. She has trouble sleeping and can be very irritable. Is this all related and what could possibly be the cause?

Brief answer:
Could be tuberculosis.

Detailed answer:
Hi, welcome to HCM.
Your child has weight loss and ultrasound shows multiple lymph nodes with recurrent illness.
There is a possibility of tuberculosis in child.
In my opinion, you should do cbc with esr, montoux test and x ray chest to rule out tuberculosis.
Revert back with above reports.
I hope this will help you.
Wishing your child good health.
Take care.
