What Causes Weight Gain While Doing Spinning And Cardio Fit?

Hi Doctor, I am 25 year old woman whose weight is 79kg and height is 171cm. I go to the gym regularly from monday to thursday/friday doing 1 - 2hr classes mainly spinning and cardio fit, I even eat healthy, my diet consists mainly of salads and I try to eat something light every 2-3hrs... the thing is that at first my weight stayed the same now instead of losing weight it is increasing? what am I doing wrong? Thanks

As I can figure out here, your major concern is the weight gain despite on continued diet and regular work out.
well, one needs to understand that exercise often put a body mechanism into an anabolic state. it means the body utilises the nutrients consumed into building muscle. Muscle protein buildup often adds weight to the body. Moreover if the intensity of workout is not sustained the protein that was built, is broken down to fat in body, which again increases weight.
I suggest you to keep check in calories in deit.
include more cardio workout.
However, do consult a dietician and trainer before any change decision, as proper work up of your required nutrients and body parameter needs to be taken into consideration.
Checking thyroid function test can be discussed with your local physician, as underlying thyroid problems can cause increased body weight.
