What Causes Warm And Tingling Sensation On The Right Ear Lobe?

About 2 hours ago I felt a warm sensation in the area of my right ear lobe. It was accompanied by a feeling of pressure in my right ear. About 30 minutes later I started to notice some tingling in my right lower face. No slurred speech, no headache. Face is not drawing. I have a hx of many allergies due to an auto immune disease. The tingling is simular to what I experience with the allergies. The ear involvement is what is different. I have been swimming alot lately and wonder if this could cause this type of ear symptom?

Hello dear,

Relax. as per the history you are giving, you do not have any serious issue.

Allergy per say a small word but it a spectrum of presentations starts from itching nose to recurrent sore throat,ear symptoms, chronic cough and at last asthma. Ear,Nose & throat being so interconnected, any condition affecting one organ out of the 3 leads to impact on the rest two.


So if you are taking any medication for allergy or your auto immune disease, please continue that. if the symptom persists and unbearable, then do not hesitate to go for a ear examination. Fungal infection of external ear due to entry of water may give rise to itching sensation, but it is also associated with pain after some days.
