What Causes Vomiting At Night?

Hello, My 8yr old son has recently been vomiting at night. During the day he is active and seemingly well. I say seemingly because he is a mostly non-verbal autistic, he has trouble explaining ailments. The vomiting usually happens around 1 a.m., and is in high quantity. He has no fever, and doesn t seem to be in any pain. He has had sporadic diarrhea. (not uncommon in autism) Help! Mandy

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello. I just read through your question.
It is possible that your son is experiencing reflux. This can often be positional, worse or triggered when we lay down. This can be treated. I recommend consulting with your doctor to discuss this possible diagnosis.
