A friend (he s 70 years old) has had violent bouts of vomiting about once a week for the past three months. They come on suddenly preceded by cold sweats and nausea and last for a few hours. He has no pain, eats normal meals but has lost weight. Has had an endoscopy which showed no problems. He s fit and trim and in in good shape except for this. We re all pretty worried about him and would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks!

What Causes Vomiting And Nausea With Cold Sweats?
Hi thanks for contacting health care magic.... He has done endoscopy which is absolutely normal , so no need for worry here as no organic cause present..... But for his repeated vomitting physical examination must done .consult physician for that and accordingly investigation... Meanwhile improve diatery habit like more fruits .... Gastric irritant like excess spicy foods , tea , coffe , smoking avoided.... More water.... Non veg food kept limited. Outside foods less.... Avoid stress..... Slowly eating foods .... Examine his all lymph nodes for enlarged or not. Rule out HIV , TB , hyperthyroid like chronic illness by history and accordingly investigation. Take care.
