What Causes Vomiting And Lower Abdominal Pain?

Yesterday, I left work with severe abdominal pain. I came home, threw up and went to bed. After getting sick, it relieved some pressure, though I still have pain in my lower left side. I took it easy last night but definitely felt better. However, the pain is persisting and it has been 24 hours.
