What Causes Vomiting And Abdominal Cramps While On Chemotherapy?

Husband fighting cancer 5 yrs. Started new chemo carfilzomib 2 days ago.....started deep vomiting then severe low abdomen cramps! Also rash w/ whelps all over neck, chest back.....EMTS picked him up 2 hrs ago.....does this sound like a reaction to the new chemo?? Thanks!! Need to encourage him!!

I can understand your concern.
Yes, possibility of side effects from new chemotherapy is more likely.
So give him pantoprazole and ondensetron for vomiting.
Give montelukast him Buscopan for abdominal cramps.
Tell him to drink plenty of fluids. Avoid hot and spicy food.
Don't worry he will be alright. Encourage him to for next chemotherapy. Better to give pantoprazole, ondensetron before he giving chemotherapy to prevent side effects.
