What Causes Vomiting After Eating After A Head Injury?

my brother met with an accident with head injury investigation says CT brain C- SAH in left sylvian fissure and left parietal region . Few small haemorrhagic contusion in left temporal and parietal lobe,largest 6mm in size. Mild cerebral edema. Bone window reveals a polyp in sphenoid sinus on left side'. He is been given dilantin 100 tab. He has been discharged from hospital. But he is feeling sleepy and do not talk much. Now he has started vomitting watever he is eating. Is that because of acidity because he is having acidity problem. We are very worried. Plz help

Hello. I have been through your question and understand your concern.

Your brother apparently had a very serious head trauma with SAH and contusions. Vomiting is one of the signs of a possible intracranial hypertension caused by the edema of the contusions.

It might also be just a simple reflux from the acidity, but considering all the possibilities, intracranial hypertension needs a brain CT to check for any edema.

I recommend a Ct scan.
