First of all, try to calm down. When you come to HCM we want to help you personally. Please come to us with the specific lab details such as
hemoglobin,
hematocrit, MCV,MCH, b 12 level,
folic acid level, serum ferritin to check iron, and all diagnosis.
First, I would suggest getting back to us with as much of the above information as possible, height, weight (if you ever were able to get one), a sample one day diet, all of your diagnosis and come through the premium specialist section and will then have more time to try to help you out with specific guidelines.
Back to your question, if one of my clients asked your question totally out of the blue, I would say that you have
macrocytic anemia brought on by
vitamin B12 deficiency (one of the few vitamins we store in the body) which is contributing to the worsening of your
chronic fatigue, IBS.
Finally, the urine test should have been explained to you by your doctor.Test results are based on the importance of doing a "clean catch". Did you do that? Question: Was urine sample diagnosed as "normal"; were the casts protein casts indicative of
kidney function decline? Or, due to the presence of the human papillomous virus? Find out your doctor's interpretation of your urine test in light of what else might be in the chart that you nor I am privy to see.
Write all your questions down and call your doctor to see if someone will talk to you about your questions and obtain your medical records so that you can meet with me or any other Dietitian you choose, and get personalized diet recommendations. Don't forget a one day food intake record before you see the Dietitian regardless of your decision. Good Health to You! Kathy Shattler, MS,RDN Congratulations on taking the first step to lifestyle change, commitment to change!!!
