What Causes Vertigo Upon Lying Down?

Dear Doctor, Today went to bed early in the evening as felt like sleeping after a strained day of computer work at home. While getting up around 9 pm from bed started seeing everything around me turning(vertigo). Waited and then went to toilet & passed stools, again while sleeping later in the night just before laying my head on the pillow held lower back of my head & started to feel vertigo. While sleeping turned upside down and again felt the vertigo. Went to toilet and cleared again. Been thinking deeply for last week on decision points. Any relation to work or is this physical symptoms? Please advise. Thank you
