What Causes Vertigo And Nausea?
Hi, I am 58 year old male. I found this morning while getting up, in closed eyes found the entire environment around me revolving. I felt a bit of vomiting tendency for some time but did not. After one hour or so I was alright. I am not a diabetic although my father was. Please let me know about the possible reason

Yours is most likely to be a harmless vertigo. This condition, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, is caused by an inner ear problem. Medicines such as Vertin or Stugeron are effective in treating this condition. You may expect more episodes. They usually come in clusters. Moving head aggravates them.
If you get any more episodes, you should consult an Ear Nose Throat specialist who will carry on basic tests and prescribe medicines. This will then save you trouble in future and also save anxiety about what it is.
