was in hospital with TIA/exit last June. There was no neurologist available during my stay. I was advised to get an EEG. I have had 2 symptoms of tight head spinning ,arms jerking ,blank stare. My significant other was present. I m stubborn and refused to go to ER. I m scheduled to see a neurologists, pending an EEG referral from my primary.

Hi,
As mentioned by you about the TIA, you may need to undergo the MRI of the brain to see the possible factors to correlate with the symptoms. Also to understand that the TIA will be a short effect of the brain stroke and while exiting it will leave some symptoms of which you are facing like, tight head spinning, arms jerking, tremors.

With the advice of the neurologist , medication will be helped for the symptomatic relief. Also the neurologist may refer you to Under go physical therapy for your arms jerking and tremors. Physical therapy will help you improve the metabolism and also maintaining the cardiorespiratory functions.

As to understand that the medicines will have a symptomatic relief but the effort from the patient will be more important than other.

Also, exercise will help for the better drug absorption by the cells and the effect will be for longer duration.

usually patients recover with a combination of medicine and physical therapy. Patient involvement in the whole process is more important.
