What Causes Vague Densities At The Apex Of Lungs?

Hi I am a 21 year old call center agent who had been a year and a half on a graveyard shift at work. My x-ray obtained last july gave vague densities at the apex of both my lungs. The company doctor suggested apicolordotic view. What would be the possible findings? I am not a smoker. I do not have any respiratory signs and symptoms like dsypnea or cough.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Densities on chest x ray can be due to lung infection like pneumonia, tuberculosis, fibrosis, calcification etc.
You are having upper lobe densities, so possibility of tuberculosis is more because tb is most commonly seen in upper lobes.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system, apicolordotic view (for better visualization of densities), sputum examination for AFB (acid fast bacilli - bacteria causing tuberculosis).
Sometimes, early infection can not cause symptoms. So better not to ignore these densities because of lack of symptoms.
Consult pulmonologist and rule out tuberculosis and other above mentioned causes.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
