What Causes Vaginal Spotting While On Birth Control Pills?

Iam a 53 year old female, iam on birth control. I take a b/c pill the whole month, estrigen the whole time. About a week ago I started spotting and it just seems to be getting alittle worse. It has backed off today. could it be my body is getting rid of my eggs? Plus my stomach has not felt right either. I just feel off. What do you think is going on!!

Hi, I think you should consult a gynecologist for pelvic examination. It can be due to side effect of the pill. But do a ultrasound to see the endometrial thickness. You can stop taking the pill after discussing with your doctor.
