What Causes Vaginal Spotting During First Trimester Of Pregnancy?
Hi, My wife is 4 week pregnant. she is experiencing spotting for last one week. On consulting doctor TVS advised and we did. Report says there is no fetal pole. also advised to take fertigyn 5000 and susten sr 300. we are really worried but test shows positive in pregnancy. please help us to know the truth.

Hi, Thanks for the query. a) I can understand your concern.Fetal pole is usually seen at 5-6 weeks of pregnancy.The bleeding at 4 weeks is mostly due to low progesterone level & weak pregnancy. The medicines advised are correct at this stage.. continue /take bed rest . Repeat usg after 2 weeks to confirm appearance fetal pole. & normal pregnancy. b) Some times fetal pole does not appear.. in this case it is blighted ovum or chemical pregnancy & this gets aborted automatically/ needs removal. Thanks
