Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Vaginal Mucus Discharge Despite Taking Diflucan And Canesten?
I have got a lot of clear, sticky discharge. I thought it was thrush but have done two courses of Diflucan and canesten to no avail. it is incredibly painful and itchy. However it doesn t smell bad, so not sure if it is BV...? thoughts? The discharge is very burny (feels like it has burnt my inner thighs!), and I am 38, and have had 3 kids.
Thanks for asking at Healthcare magic. I read your question and I understand your concern. Clear vaginal discharge with pain, irritation and burning sensation implies infection other than fungus because fungus discharge is whitish in nature. like chlamydia, trichomonas even BV. I would like to advise you to do microscopy and C/S of your vaginal dischage also do Urine R/E. For temporary relief take some antipruritic agent like cetrizine 10 mg, use biomose gel after intercourse. always wipe yourself in bathroom front to back. Never ever use spermicide, scents. Hope it helps best. Take your best Care. Don't forget to rate this answer and close the discussion at HealthcareMagic. Regards Dr Ejaz
