What Causes Vaginal Itching?

My vagina has been itching for the past week but it s been something I can ignore for the most part. Today it became more. I looked an the inner lips are extremely red and swollen to the point it hurts to walk. My husband and I are trying to have a baby and I m scared this will effect my firtility

Hi dear and thanks for your query.

As per your symptoms they have relation with yeast infection but we can't confirm it without any vaginal swab.
Hence have a vaginal swab done to confirm/exclude yeast infection.
If it is positive for yeast infection ,doctor will prescribed proper treatment for it.
If it is negative ,than tour symptoms may have relation with contact dermatitis .
Hence for both diagnosis may have effect :
Sitz baths for 3 to 4 times per day
Add more water in your diet
Use cotton underwear
And use over the counter external creams
