Hello, last week I started having a mild itch in the vaginal area. I thought maybe its because after I use the bathroom I always use a towel and soap and wash up...I figured I just got it irritated. then a few days later I started to spot, the blood is dark brown like always when Im about to start my cycle but this time the blood has a brown looking tissue in it. Plus I still have the itch...what could this be???
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Itching in the vaginal are can be due to infection or due to the irritation caused by the repeated soap usage. Passage of brown tissue in the menstrual blood can be the presence of endometrial tissue, however it can be due to any local lesions in cervix or vagina including cervical cancer. I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated including hormonal profile, pap smear, vaginal smear and ultrasound, and get appropriate treatment.
