What Causes Vaginal Infection?

So I ve had discharge for a really long time. Probably about a year before I even got my period. I was 12 when it started getting really bad. I had sex when I was 15 1/2, and i just couldn t take it anymore, the discharge was so annoying. I went to a teen clinic, they said I had a sti, they then gave me medication. It didn t work. I went to a walk in clinic, they said I had a yeast infection, gave me medication and it again, didn t work. I went back to the teen clinic, they had I had bacterial vaginosis, and the medication didn t work. I didn t have sex for about 4 months, and I recently did.The discharge has gotten even worse, and my urine stinks and is cloudy. The discharge is white, and slimy. Or sometimes it s super wet.

Hi,
Bacterial vaginosis is sometimes very much annoying and patience is needed in the management. You should maintain strict genital hygiene. Do not douche or use strong soap solutions. You can use mild antiseptic. You should also try to abstain until you get complete cure. A culture sensitivity test should be done to know which medication exactly can help instead of guess method. You should also use protection during intercourse. Please see if your partner also needs treatment. Once healed, maintenance therapy should be given for six months to prevent further infection. Hope this helps.
