What Causes Vaginal Discharge?

I have a very faded light pink discharge mixed with chunky white discharge like cottage cheese. I get yeast infections pretty regularly. I know this is what it is, but the faded light pink discharge with the thick chunky discharge has happened a few times. I have poly cystic ovarian syndrome so my periods are always out of whack. Could this be me just trying to start my period and that's why it's mixed with the normal cottage cheese like discharge?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query.Your problem of white discharge like cottage cheese is most likely yeast infection. As you have an irregular period the pinkish chunky discharge can be a mix of menstrual blood. But it is better to rule out other problems like pelvic inflammatory disease by doing a pelvic examination by a gynecologist and an ultrasound if needed. For yeast infection i advise my patients with clotrimazole cream for local application and fluconazole tab weekly once for 1 month to stop recurrence.I also recommend them to keep the vaginal PH and bacterial flora normal by using intimate wash regularly.Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further query.
