What Causes Vaginal Discharge With Blood Clots Post Mirena Coil Insertion?
I got a mirena I inserted begging of August to reduce vaginal bleeding due to blood thinners. I had a regular period the day after insertion and have only spotted since. Today I have had 2 nickel sized clots (haven t had any clots since insertion) and bright red blood.

Post mirena insertion, off and on spotting might occur initially because of hormonal fluctuations. Eventually it would decrease and you will have regular bleeding pattern with reduced flow. Presently you can take tab tranexamic acid 500 mg thrice a day for 3 days to reduce your bleeding
