Hello,
If you have had a surgical abortion, these symptoms could be due to the procedure adopted and also due to the involution of the uterus. If you have had a medical abortion, you should confirm the completion of the process through a clinical evaluation and a follow up trans-vaginal sonogram. In either case, infection should always be ruled out. You may need a vaginal swab, cervical swab, pap smear and urinalysis as indicated. Please maintain genital hygiene. Hope this helps.
