Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 59 women gave birth to two children went through menapause at age 28 and just started bleeding again. I went to doctor and they said there wasn t anything unusually. I am almost 60 and still bleeding from my vagina! Something has to be wrong. I don t bleed everyday and the blood is bright red.
hello, you have mentioned menopaused at 28??? is it 58? Assuming its 58 I'm answering the question. if you menopaused at 58 and two year s later you started bleeding again is bit suspicious. you haven't mentioned whether it is just one episode of bleeding or cyclical as menstruation. If its episodic irregular bleeding probably due to atrophic cervical epithelium, cervical polyp or low grade infection( can be bacterial, can be candida). there is a possibility of a cancerous lesion also. so to rule out a tumour your bleeding episode needs investigation. Even if you had cyclical bleeding it is unlikely to continue with normal menstrual cycles at your age. better meet your gynocologist for investigations. hope this helps. thank you
