What Causes Vaginal Bleeding Post Menopause?

Hello, my boyfriend and I had sex last night and about halfway through I started bleeding. This hasnt been our first time having sex but it is the first time that situation has ever occurred. I was wondering what could have caused this random situation?

Irregular bleeding might happen in the time around menopause. It maybe due to hormonal or organic causes.

I'd recommend a transvaginal ultrasound, where the endometrial lining can be evaluated, and also to exclude the presence of fibroids, which are benign tumors that are likely to occur around the menopause.
