What Causes Vaginal Bleeding During Early Pregnancy With History Of Miscarriages?

My wife has aborted twice all within the first trimester. She is currently 5 weeks 6 days and has started bleeding again. Her doctor has started her on primolut depo 250mg twice weekly. On scanning the gestational sac was seen. She took the first dose of the primolut depo yesterday but she s still bleeding slightly .what are the chances of this pregnancy

Hi,
I understand your concern.
First tri master abortions are mostly due to hormone Progesteron deficiency.Your wife had been prescribed proper drug.Replacement of hormone controls bleeding & mostly pregnancy continues to term.
Many a times scanty bleeding follows injection for few days after replacement, this is because of previously collected blood being discharged.
Taking bed rest along with medication/avoid physical or psychological stress is beneficial.
Please don't worry, your wife will be alrightwith progression of pregnancy normally.Your doctor will reassess fetal growth by follow up examination/ USG scan.
Please stick to the advise given,take medicines regularly till doctor tells to discontinue, be regular in follow up consultations.
