What Causes Urinary Infection?

I am 30 yrs old and married since Sep-2007. Since then we are trying for baby. I done a semon analysis and found lower sperm count (as 32 millions, active 19%).

I did consult urologist and treated to increase the count and doctor suggested for IUI which I dont prefer to do.

Also I am having lower backpain and premetured ejaculation.

My urologist diagnosed that I am infected with urinary infection (UI). I had medications also to treat the UI, but the remady lasted for around 20 days.

Once again I am facing the same problem. Can you please help me for the permenant solution for my problem.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Getting repeated urinary tract infection could be caused due to resistance of organisms to the antibiotics what you have taken for its treatment. To overcome it, kindly get urine culture and sensitivity test done to know what could be the organism and which antibiotic it responds best. Kindly take a course of that antibiotic to overcome your urinary tract infection.
Since, you seem to be sexually active, it would be better to evaluate your partner also for infection and treat accordingly.
Regarding difficulty in conceiving, your sperm count seems to be quite low with less sperms being active. Infection could be one of the cause for it.
It would be better to consider assisted reproductive techniques like IUI or IVF in such cases, as chronic infection, even if treated well, might not show much improvement in sperm count and improve chances of fertility.
Kindly consider what the doctor has advised.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
