What Causes Urinary Incontinence Post Prostate Surgery?

I am a 75 yr old male who has had prostate surgery (12 yrs ago) and radiation follow up (11 yrs)..I have now developed incontience..it has gradually developed to a very annoying problem. I have tried Pads for the last three weeks and dont think this is the long term solution. Are there any other possibilities? I am meeting with my doctor at Hopkins next week for his thoughts. I need some options..this is very depressing. Hal

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear Hal. Since you had your prostate taken off fully, this mey be not related to your prostate anymore. It could be related to nerves supplying impulsis to your bladder. I consult you taking visits to a neurolog to. Vitamins which supply and regenerate your nerves could be helpful. Take care!
