What Causes Upset Stomach, Vomiting, Dry Heaving And Fast Heart Rate?

Hi. Yes, thank you. My 5 year old daughter was complaining about an upset stomach this evening and by bedtime, she was vomiting. Now, in bed, she is dry heaving about once every half hour to 45 minutes. also, she complained that she felt her heart was racing. I checked her heart rate again now that she has been sleeping for an hour or so, and her heart rate was 120 bps. Should I be worried or is her body just reacting to whatever stomach bug she has picked up at school?

hi
Welcome to the healthcaremagic
She is suffering from gastrointestinal tract infection. Because of infection she must be having fever. And because of fever her heart beats must be fast.Give her antiemetic and antipyretic for now.So she will settle down in one hour time.
Happy to help you
Best regards
