What Causes Upper Abdominal Pain When Hungry?
Hi I have had upper abdomenal pain for quite a few years - whenever I am hungry - it is worse in the nights and I wake up with the pain. It s a sharp pain and sometimes accompanied with burning sensation. It goes after few minutes of eating but if I have eaten after a long gap, it takes longer for pain to subside. Lightheadedness is also present along with pain sometimes when I am hungry in the day. Stools - normal, no vomiting. Help? Tested for gallstones - negative. Have tried multiple acidity medicines over the years, has not helped. 23/F/India

I really appreciate your concern, it is the typical symptoms of acid peptic disease and it can be well treated with Tab Omeprazole with Domperidone 40/20 mg once in day at evening time and it need to be taken for three to five weeks hope this information helps.
