What Causes Upper Abdominal Pain And Bloating?

I'm a 26 year old healthy female. For two days, I've been having upper abdominal pain. It feels different than any stomach ache I've ever had. It comes and goes, I feel bloated and gassy. The pain is worse usually after eating a meal. Wondering if I need to go in to see a doctor asap or if I should give it a few more days. Thanks.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.

As per your complain upper abdominal pain and bloating can be due to indigestion, acid reflux,gastroenteritis, irritable bowel syndrome, continuous intake of heavy and large meals etc..
I would suggest you to take antacids like Milk of magnesia before meals and also take H2 blockers like Ranitidine..
You should take small meals every 2 hours..
Avoid spicy and large meals..
Drink plenty of warm water..
Add yoghurt and garlic to diet as they are probiotics..
Do short walks after meals..
Moderate workout and avoiding sedantary habits can help..
In case if the symptoms still does not resolve consult a Gastroenterologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Colonoscopy can help in diagnosis and treatment can e planned accordingly..
